Saturday, August 21, 2010 The city of Akron ’s Lock 3 entertainment stage will present a LOCK 3 EXTRA featuring the smooth jazz sounds of Ledisi with saxaphonest Pamela Williams and comedienne Brenda McIver on Saturday August 21st at 7:00pm. inside the Akron Civic Theatre, next door to Lock 3's outdoor stage. Tickets go on sale June 18 and are available for $25 for VIP seating, $15 and $10 for reserved seating. ABOUT LEDISI: Ledisi last appeared at Lock 3 in 2008, following her two Grammy nominations, including one for best new artist. Ledisi returns to Downtown Akron following the release of “Turn Me Loose” which braids strains of rock, blues, classic soul, funk and hip-hop - the sounds she loved while growing up in Oakland , California - all fused together. ABOUT PAMELA WILLIAMS: Although she established her career in LA, Williams’ talents were nurtured by the rich musical heritage of Philadelphia .
